They bought the Yuba Mundo a few months ago after arriving in town to avoid owning a second car and are loving it!
Sharon After doing some prep work riding around the river, Sharon had her first ride to work today and she is thrilled! Sharon's commute will give her one hour of free exercise every work day, guaranteed to reduce stress and improve general wellbeing!	Clare When Clare realised it was going to cost $180 a month just for parking her car at work, Clare decided she would rather spend that money on something fun! She is about to start riding her trusty bike the few kilometres to work and will soon be richer and fitter for it. Taha Taha has migrated north from Brisbane and he loves the place! He is car free and rides out to work at the hospital every day. That floor pump he bought didn't quite fit in his backpack so he strapped it onto his bike in good bicycle commuter style!	Bob Bob rides to and from work every day whatever the weather and has only put 3000km on his car in the last eight months. We think it might be time he got rid of the car altogether!	Ewy Coming from Sydney, Ewy never bothered to get a driving licence because public transport was so much more practical than driving a car. Now she lives in Townsville she just rides her bike everywhere and plans to just keep on pedalling!
Mark With a Breezer Beltway (uses a belt instead of a chain), Mark goes pretty much everywhere on his bike and loves it. Why drive when you can ride?	Kelcey You may see Kelcey pedalling around Townsville with her super-bright flags (thanks for the idea Lucy!) and now with her beautiful Basil bag to carry her gear in.	Jialin (and Robbie & Nathan!) These guys are enjoying the family's second car. What better way to get around than in a cargo bike? Space for shopping, school bags, dogs (yes, they take it along too); and it's free exercise for Jialin! Keeping on rolling!
Ida Ida is a young 70 year old who still gets around on her bike to do shopping and whatever else takes her fancy. May as well do it in style with a bright new helmet and Ortlieb panniers!	Darryl & Damien This father and son team are always getting around town on their recumbent trikes, now complete with trailers and a growing dog!	Alex After selling her car, Alex decided the best way to spend the money was to invest in a Brompton that will take her everywhere she needs to go and will be far cheaper (and healthier) to run!
Milena Milena is from Brazil, and, having ridden all her life, she still enjoys commuting by bike around Townsville.	Jared Jared wanted the flexibility of a Brompton folder - it can be stored under a desk or in a cupboard, go on a train or a bus or a plane...plus, it just looks good! David David and his wife sold their second car and bought a Gazelle CityZen C8 ebike. Along with a set of waterproof Ortlieb panniers, David's well set up for a cheaper, healthier and fun way of getting around town!	Sabina Sabina travels around her hometown of Sydney using her bike, the bus and the train. She doesn't have a car and particularly loves her red Brompton, which just did it's first aeroplane trip to Townsville for a holiday, and will be heading overseas in the near future!	Sherry This is Sherry's second electric bike. She has never owned a car and has been using a bike to get around for a few years. Sherry rides mainly just to work, but she reckons the new wheels will mean we see her out and about a bit more often!

Bron Bron starting commuting by bike three years ago after a mishap with her car. Now Bron is in love with her trusty old Ricardo and doesn't think she will bother owning a car again!	Bec T. Hardcore cycle commuter and bicycle advocate. Bec has no car and rides fair weather or foul!
Lucy Just about everyone in Townsville will have seen Lucy getting around on her recumbent bike! She hasn't owned a car for 25 years. The old Flevobike (left) has done a mere 140,000km in the 8 years since Lucy bought it! The new one on the right just arrived in Australia. We bet it won't take long for the kilometres to rack up on the new one!	Beat Beat has no trouble cycling up and down the hills of Magnetic Island on his Gazelle Ultimate C1.	Shane Shane's commute to work has increased now he has added in a loop of the Strand for fun. He rides 22km round trip to work each day and does a few extra kilometres on the weekend. Shane has a pretty impressive top speed of 42km/h on his GreenSPEED trike and LOVES riding into headwinds.
Well-known Townsville Local This is one of a collection of bikes. The Brompton folding bike gets used for overseas travel and the upright step-through Gazelle bike will get used for lots of commutes when it arrives. We love the Da Brim helmet visor and the stylish panniers. Perfect for a cruise Townsville day!	Ian Ian has not felt the need to own a car for years!
