Ride for Road Safety
This Sunday 27 August, 2017 is the Townsville Bicycle User Group's annual 'Ride for Road Safety - in memory of Sue Bell and Jeff Ashby'. Townsville BUG campaigns for safer cycling for every person who hops on a bicycle and this ride is about getting together to show support.
There are two versions of the ride, one starts at Jezzine Barracks and covers 18km through Townsville. The other version is only 4km and starts at our shop, The Bicycle Pedlar.
Both rides start at the same time of 7.30am finish in the Flinder's Street mall, where the Sunday Cotter's Markets will be in full swing. There will be speeches and other bicycle-related activities happening in the mall.
Come and join fellow bike riders for a fun morning and show your support of bicycle use in Townsville!
